Samarth Project Quarterly Review Meeting Strengthens Community Health Action
Madhya Pradesh Samaj Seva Sanstha (MPSSS), Bhopal, under the Samarth Project – Phase III, organised the Quarterly Review Meeting on 06 July 2026 at the Community Health Centre (CHC), Suktawa, Kesla Block. The meeting brought together representatives from MPSSS, CHAMP, the Health Department, Block Leads, and ASHA workers from Kesla and Budhni Blocks to review project achievements, address implementation challenges, and plan activities for the upcoming quarter.
The review highlighted significant progress in routine immunization support, adolescent group meetings, VHSNC strengthening, Self-Help Group meetings, household visits, and community awareness campaigns on seasonal diseases, tuberculosis, diabetes, hypertension, HIV/AIDS, and nutrition. Participants also discussed field-level challenges such as seasonal migration, crop harvesting, tendu leaf collection, and the ASHA workers' strike, while identifying practical solutions to improve community participation and programme delivery.
A technical session on maternal, adolescent, and family nutrition further enhanced the knowledge of participants, emphasizing balanced diets and healthy practices. The meeting concluded with a renewed commitment to strengthening coordination among stakeholders, improving community health services, and promoting sustainable health, sanitation, and nutrition interventions across Kesla and Budhni Blocks.
Through the Samarth Project – Phase III, MPSSS continues to strengthen community health systems by building the capacity of frontline workers, fostering collaboration with government departments, and empowering communities to improve health outcomes.
