Madhya Pradesh Samaj Seva Sanstha [M.P.S.S.S.] came into existence on 25th September 1998. It was instituted by the Bishops of the Yesteryear State of Madhya Pradesh for the facilitation and coordination of the development activities of the Catholic Church in the region. Fourteen Diocesan Social Service Societies (DSSS) of the present day States of Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh were the constituent members of this organization.
